This actually has something to do with the wire.
There’s an old saying that no city has as many layers as Baltimore. It’s mainly a joke about the way the highways criss-cross over one another endlessly like this. But the wire was a show that really made you feel it, though, not just in a car.

Seriously, I’m crying inside for another season.

ok so this has absolutely nothing to do with the wire.

I want to tell you about the most amazing book entitled ” My Mistress’s Sparrow Is Dead” edited by jeffery eugenides. The premise of the book is this poem by Catullus the first poet of the ancient world. Catullus’s poem is about a young man who is in love with this woman but she gives all her affection to her pet sparrow and he feels that if the sparrow were dead his love would want him . Eventually in the poem the sparrow dies and his love instead of now loving him spends all her time crying and grieving for her lost love/sparrow—so it was never, ever the sparrow that kept her love far from him. The intro talks about how its not a book about love—but love stories. And in a true Love Story you have to have one cold heart. So its this collection of again just amazing short stories by various authors like kundera, gates, munro, miranda july that leave you stunned after reading them. After every story i am just like speechless with mouth gaping open and have had to read them over to take in all the richness and depth.
